Kodomo-no rakuen

I went to a park named Kodomo-no rakuen with my family by car. The meaning of this name is Children's Paradise. As the name suggests, there are many pieces of playground equipment, such as swings, monkey bars, big slides, and sandpits. My son enjoys it very much.

In a break in the middle of the playtime, we had rice balls stuffed with vegetables and cheese for lunch. My son doesn't like spinach, but he ate all of it and said, "it is delicious!"

Enjoy shopping

My son and I were looking for rain shoes and a water bottle to take to school at Aeon mall located near Kyoto Station. We were unable to find many in the shops, so we asked the clerk where we could find rain shoes and water bottles. The clerk kindly told us where they were. 

The clerks are kind everywhere in Kyoto. I have never once heard them say, "I don't know". Recently, signboards are written in not only English but also Chinese and Korean, so visitors can easily go shopping.

Eating pizza at home

There is a pizzeria of home delivery called Pizza Hut in the vicinity of our guest house. I ate pizza at the guest house,it was tasty. Why do you not eat together?

Flower arrangement

My mother decorates my house with flowers always. She is a master of flower arrangements "Misho Ryu". You may see her work in my house and guest house.

Gifts from Hawaii

I got cute gifts from guests that stayed in our guesthouse. They came from Hawaii.
I 've been to Hawaii only once in 10 years. I wish to go to Hawaii again someday.

Out for a Walk

I went to a temple near my house with my son. Beautiful cherry blossoms bloomed. Guardian deity of children were in the temple.

My son has prayed to guardian deity. He goes soon to elementary school. So he prayed that he can have friends.

Many cherry blossoms are blooming in Kyoto. But weather was cloudy. I was at ease the house all day, and had same time to myself today.

Calligraphy

My favorite thing is calligraphy. I started to take lessons over 10 years ago. Some of my best work is displayed in our guesthouse.

Kaitensushi

I had kaitensushi with my family and guest family from Malaysia in the evening. Children enjoyed it very much. But I think I ate too much too late.
I'll take guest family with us next time.

There are 6 people in my family, my husband, sons, and my parents.

We have a guesthouse in the neighborhood.
Many foreigners stay there.
